Sitting at home, listening again to Tom Waits superb “Orphans”, the 3-disc b-sides and rarities disc that came out last year. With the blistering cold and the snow flurries, it felt like a Tom Waits kinda day.
Anyway, came across his version of "Young at Heart" from that album, and there’s a great whistling verse in the middle of the song. Not sure if the original has that same whistling verse.
Either way, ever since you posed the question I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember other whistle-heavy songs. This is the first one I’ve come across so far.
